Other Countries

There are distillers in other countries making worthy, high quality absinthe. In Spain, absinthe, called absenta locally, survived prohibition (Spain never banned the spirit), and some brands like Serpis Classic continue to be made to this day.

There is also dutch absinthe, Akvelds Artisanale, which is made in a tiny copper pot still in a garden shed! And English absinthe, Adnams Absinthe Rouge and Verte, made in the seaside town of Southwold. Adnams Rouge is unique, colored red with hibiscus!
