- The label of the King of Spirit bottle represents Vincent Van Gogh, known as much for his paintings as for his inclination to absinthe. The legend says that he cut his ear after having drunk absinthe: he actually only cut the lobe. (the alcohol probably played a role, but one must not forget that Vincent Van Gogh's background predisposed him to schizophrenia.)
- At first, savour King of Spirits with half a piece of sugar. Then, add more or less according to your taste.
- For one measure of absinthe (3cl), add 2 to 5 measures of fresh water.

The nose is like cheap absinthe with an industrial scent, the initial taste is decent, yet the aftertaste is like sucking bitter tea leaves through a tailpipe. Would give 2 stars but the average is ridiculously high, so 1 star. Burning money is only slightly more wasteful.

There is no middle of the road here. If you hate bitter, it's not for you. But if you like bitter, this absinthe will subside from a powerful bitterness to pleasant floral tones. Tastes great with extra sugar and gomme. Don't be swayed by the low reviews. Those are mostly folks who hate bitter. I'm ok with it. I'd rather drink a bitter personally than a minty mouthwash tasting drink. It lacks alot of anise, so it doesn't have much of a louche, but the flavor is pleasant and unique.

This Absinthe is not your ordinary spirits, in the begining you will not like the taste it's not for everyone, but as you sip more and more of this absinthe you will begin to appriciate the complex taste and body this spirit has. I just purchased King of Spirits Gold, can wait to open that bottle, just sip and relax.

I decided to rate this absinth after seeing it has 2/5, while truly deserves no more then 1/5. I doubt it is a product of maceration _and_ destillation and could be even called an absinth at all. The guy who gave it 5 stars said you'll probably need a can of red bull to drink this stuff. What a nice compliment for a spirit, right? One could smoke some wormwood if he simply wanted "the effect", and trust me, it would not worth it. Does anyone still believe that absinth is supposed to get you high? Get some weed or acid for christ's sake, kids. I would never recomend buying this even if it'd costed 10 times less then it does, and just thinking that you could get a bottle of PF 1901 or L'Esprit d'Edouard for almost the same price amuses me. Hear me and avoid this abomination at all costs.

This isnt worthy of being called absinthe... It tastes like it is made with SLivovitz and industrial wormwood oil/ anise oil...... Yes kerosene does come to mind too..... THe guy that made the previous commment about it giving a great effect really needs to learn more about absinthe.... The only effect this one will give is the poisoning of your kidneys... You can feel the oily taste in your mouth when sipping this garbage.... Please dont waste your money.... I tasted it at a friend's house and was really glad I didnt buy it....
I wish I could give it a negative star

This is how absinthe should taste and more importantly feel! I have had more that 20 different kinds of absinthe and this is top 2. Instantly take a shot you feel it right away, the taste and aroma stick with you so that you feel more of the effect. My experience has taught me the more bitter the better.. use Red bull if you must.

This is absolute garbage. Definitly not worthy of the name Absinthe. It tastes (and smells) like kerosene. Only buy this if you feel like burning off your tastebuds, or if you have absolutely no taste whatsoever.
