Absinthe La Capricieuse - 20cl

Very fine and rafinate absinthe! Recommend to all the absinthe lovers who want to experience a high level degustation pleasure.

"La Clandestine" is a classic, basic absinthe - one of the absinthes that, for me, defines what a Swiss blanche should be. But for some reason, even though it is apparently the same absinthe with less added water, "La Capricieuse" is better - and this impression has stuck with me over several bottles of each, so I don't think it's an illusion. There are absinthes that aim higher and hit the mark, hence "only" four stars, but this is a very fine absinthe.

I don t give the maximum, because I don t try (drunk) but I think that is "the best".

I purchased a small bottle of this to try and well i should have just bought a large bottle. I love his Angelique and when I tried this I have to say I liked it even more! He just knows how to get complex and full bodied flavors spot on. The aromas are just something else. My partner isn't a big fan of Absinthe but she even said it smelt nice. The lingering aftertaste made me dive strait back in it was gone from my glass before I knew it, it was that tasty. I have the butterfly to try next, will be interesting how that stands up. Cheers.

I cannot say enough good about Capricieusce. I even prefer it to its "little sister" La Clandestine which is excellent as well.
It has a great bitter, lingering bite I enjoy. The wormwood and other herbs are very pronounced. Its sophistication arrives slowly and leaves slowly. Highly recommended.

This is Clandestine Recette Charlotte (the blue bottle) concentrated. You can choose to pour less and make a strong drink with a slow drip in order to "tune" the experience. If you compare the price with the blue Clandestine, you will realise that you actually get a lot af absinthe for the 5 euros extra. Due to this Quality/price-ration I give the highest recommendation. We hope this will be imported to Denmark. The bitterness mentioned in the description is in no way overwhelming.

New to the infamous drink, this was the second Blanche I have tried. First being the La Clandestine. Lets say this. La Capricieuse blows it to pieces. This is not to say that Clandestine is not a good Blanche. But this one is everything Clandestine is, but better. The higher alcohol content brings out the robust flavor notes found in this amazing blend. I was surprised to find out it is not a top seller, actually its not even close.

Blanches are not my everyday absinthe. I would like to explore many more Verte before traveling back to this emerald bottle. I find that Verte are just more interesting. But make no mistake about it ladies and gents, Capricieuse will knock your socks off and automatically go to a high ranking place on your list.

Quite simply, this is my favorite Swiss Bleue. Lovely to enjoy outside on a summer evening. Very well made.

There is a good combination of aromas within a strong character and complexity; it shares some characteristics from La Clandestine but in a different fashion.

A little too much alcohol for me, but an excellent choice to enjoy absinthe.
