1 Absinthe La Valote Bovet Le Chat 100cl

The Bovet Le Chat absinthe is a very mellow and well-balanced absinthe. One can consider is a typical, classic Swiss Bleue with strong notes of aniseed and wormwood. Its fairly low abv. gives the Bovet Le Chat absinthe a very refreshing taste and therefore makes it the perfect absinthe for fans of licorice!

Absinthe Le Chat is made like any other of the absinthe brands by the Bovet family distillery – traditional, handmade, and after fine and partially historic absinthe recipes. About half of the herbs and plants used to produce this absinthe are cultivated in the family‘s own garden. The drying and macerating of the harvested herbs is almost always done by just one single person. The art of distilling and the secret recipes for the Bovet absinthes are always passed onto the next generation who takes over to run the distillery, which ensures a distinct and consistent quality from batch to batch.

This absinthe is also available in 10cl and 50cl.

1 Bubble Glass

Especially commissioned by Absinthes.com, the Bubble Reservoir Absinthe Glass is a delight to behold. We are incredibly proud how it has turned out, after almost a year of prototypes and improvements. The Bubble Reservoir Glass was directly inspired by a glass in the collection of David Nathan Maister, renowned absinthe historian. This type of glass was relatively rare, even when it was most widely available in the 1880s and 1890s.

The bubble reservoir serves as a dose, to accurately pour the right amount of absinthe without needing a measure. Chilled water is then added as usual, usually three to five parts. A pleasing weight in the hand, without being overly hefty. These glasses are hand made (blown by mouth) by the makers in Europe. The artisan process captures some tiny bubbles and imperfections in the glass, making for a seriously beautiful effect.

1 Vintage Carafe

This water carafe for absinthe has been specially commissioned by Absinthes.com

A reproduction of an absinthe carafe from over 100 years ago, the small spout or beak allows for exact control over the drip, making it possible to get the perfect louche, to an even greater degree than with an absinthe fountain! Its shape, designed specifically for preparing absinthe, allows for fine control of the water flow without spilling water or ice.

We have gone through a painstaking prototyping process to ensure the carafes were just the right size and shape, and we are thrilled with the final result. It's hard to imaging using any other carafe now.
